About
EMILY GRAYE
// Darkness is calling \\
From enigmatic, moody anthems to chill ballads, the deep tones in Emily Graye’s voice resonate a rich, yet ethereal sound that draws you in and holds you there. Intrigued by the concept of an introverted dystopia, Graye delves into her subconscious to tell elusive tales in a dark pop realm. She excels at taking negative emotions and twisting them into empowering tracks that restore confidence. At the age of 13, Graye began songwriting ballads on her keyboard before expanding her palette by exploring the production world and experimenting with different sounds. Her hip-hop influenced production enables Graye to blend genres and push her creative boundaries in a cinematic soundscape. Graye kicked off the release of her debut album, Neoasis, in 2018 with lead single ‘Malachite, followed by the title track and second single, ‘Neoasis’.
Graye took a different approach for her sophomore album, Phantomania, in 2020 by releasing nearly half the album as singles before dropping the full LP in October. The funky bassline of lead single ‘Phantom Eyes’ took listeners by surprise as Graye fused funk influences with her alt pop style. Her third single, ‘Bejeweled in the Decadence’, captivates with its sweeping strings and classically-influenced melodies.
